Guadalupe River – 93 cfs @ Sattler. The Guadalupe is for the most out of its prime trout season. Trout can still be caught with regularity in the first 5 miles of the tailrace. There are trout located will downstream of mile 5 but we recommend that anglers stay in the upper river to avoid higher water temps that can prove lethal to trout. Dropper rigs are still the primary fish catcher but streamers can help produce a mixed bag of smallmouth, sunfish, and trout! There should be some dry fly activity once the river clears up from the recent rains. Always remember, DO NOT fish for trout specifically if water temps rise above 70 degrees and no matter how cool the water is, release your fish as quickly as possible.
Recommended Flies: CDC Fluff Beast, San Juan Worm, Glo Bug Eggs, Slumpbusters, Red Fox Squirrel Nymphs, and Small Midges
